Due to the experience we have gained since our foundation until today, the technology transfer from Freyssinet and our evolution from the past years, we also operate as a General Contractor, being able to offer a complete range of construction works, to approach a project from the design phase and up to the construction or execution of repair works for works of art (bridges, passages, viaducts, tunnels etc.), road works, but also civil and industrial constructions.
Expansion joints
Freyssinet has been manufacturing and installing expansion joints on road bridges, railway bridges and buildings all over the world for more than 50 years, and in Romania since 1996 through Freyrom. Freyssinet expansion joints are recognized for their durability, design and robustness.
We offer support in order to identify the best solutions, a varied range of expansion joints perfectly adapted to different conditions and requests.
Bearings
Bearings, as a major component of the structures, with a decisive impact on their functioning, have the role of taking over the vertical and horizontal forces from the superstructure and transmitting them to the infrastructure, allowing translation and rotation movements. The choice, installation, monitoring, maintenance and replacement of right bearings requires the attention of a specialist, and our company, as an active player on the construction market, has developed a wide range of devices, thus offering the most suitable solutions to satisfy the needs of our customers.

Post-tensioning systems
The technique was patented by Eugène Freyssinet in 1928 and has been used on thousands of structures across the world by the STUP, the company created by Eugène Freyssinet in 1943 and which became Freyssinet in 1976.
We offer a full range of post-tensioning systems, thus covering the entire market: B range, C range, F range, R range, X range and Freyssibar.
We have over 800,000 square meters of post-tensioned slabs, as well as numerous projects for post-tensioned beams and post-tensioning with Freyssibar bars or any other post-tensioning system.

Cable-stayed bridges and cabled structures
Stay cable and cable systems (cable-stayed bridges/pedestrian bridges, arched bridges, anchorage of high poles, covering structures for stadiums, sports halls etc.) are complex structures, with a constant evolution and significant progress in terms of functionality, strength and durability. Freyrom has implemented in Romania numerous solutions and services that cover all stages: system design, installation, but also maintenance and monitoring of the system over time.
Lifting, handling, sliding and structures rotation
The lifting and handling of heavy structures are complex operations that are performed when other conventional installation methods are not possible, are too risky or too expensive and are only carried out by specialized companies.

Anchoring systems for geotechnics
Freyssinet anchoring systems, both temporary and permanent, are used to hold, restrain and support buildings, parkings, tunnels, basements, dams, wind turbines, towers or various civil engineering structures.
These anchoring products are engineered systems used to stabilize the soil and/or fix the structures on the ground, allowing the load transfer.

Structural strengthening
Structural strengthening objective is to increase strength of the structure so that it can withstand loads that were not originally intended.
Freyrom offers a wide variety of solutions for structural strengthening works:

Maintenance of post-tensioned structures
For these projects inspections are carried out in order to evaluate the post-tensioned structures, and if the post-tensioning is not satisfactory or if the loads have increased compared to those originally designed, one of the repair and modernization solutions consists in carrying out additional external post-tensioning, a solution that allows the structure to be brought back to the required level of resistance and ensures the increase of the load-bearing capacity.
Maintenance of cable-stayed and suspended structures
Due to the vast experience in this field, Freyssinet has developed a wide range of solutions and services for the maintenance and execution of repair works or replacement of stay cables and suspended cables at bridges.
As an example, the repair/replacement solutions were implemented by us within the project: Bridge rehabilitation DN 39 km 8+988 in Agigea, Constanta county.
Maintenance of expansion joints and bearings
As a specialized contractor, with extensive experience and numerous contracts for repair and replacement works of expansion joints and bearings, we can help to carry out maintenance and monitoring works, as well as their replacement, if necessary.
Seismic retrofitting
We offer a complete range of solutions for modernization, seismic retrofitting and repair works to the existing structures, from the design, manufacturing and in-house testing of the proposed system, to its installation.
Seismic retrofitting of Bucharest City Hall building is one of our representative projects, which was done through base isolation using a number of 36 seismic dampers and 262 seismic isolators.

Supply and installation of post-tensioning systems
Post-tensioning systems have been successfully implemented in numerous projects of works of art, civil and industrial constructions, using state-of-the-art materials and equipments.
The use of post-tensioned slabs allows the reduction of the weight of the superstructure and, consequently, of the seismic loads. Also, this method of execution significantly reduces the execution times due to the simple way of realising the formworks and the active and passive reinforcement.

Bridge over the Somesul Mic river on Portelanului Street (Portelanului Bridge)
The works on this project consisted in the construction of a new bridge with a 54 lm single span. The technical solution adopted was 'Warren truss' beams, with one lane in each direction, sidewalks, bicycle lanes, as well as re-profiling and embankment works. The project included also a new energy efficient street and architectural lighting and reorganisation of the adjacent areas.

Sustainable Urban Mobility Corridor in "Emanuil Gojdu" Square Oradea - Stage I
The works on this project consisted in the construction of 6 underpasses, 12.117 square metres of sidewalks, 660 linear metres of bicycle lanes, 990 linear metres of lanes for public transport, upgraded road infrastructure, upgraded tram lines, new construction and upgraded transport stations, as well as trees planting, shrubs and new irrigation networks.
The overall aim of the project is to reduce carbon emissions in Oradea by creating a sustainable urban mobility corridor.

Sustainable Urban Mobility Corridor in "Emanuil Gojdu" Square Oradea - Stage II
The works on this project have solved the traffic deficiencies that significantly affected the public transport, their location being the meeting point for more than 80% of tram and bus routes in Oradea.
The works on this project consisted also in the realization of roundabouts crossed by an underpass with a length of 33.7 lm, road infrastructure works that intersect with the tram lines, utilities undercrossings, lighting and landscaping works.

Bridge over the Somesul Mic river, connection between Oasului Street and Rasaritului Street
The works on this project consisted in the construction of a bridge with a single span of 48.10 lm, arches and tie rods, carrigeway at the bottom and two sections of road, with a total length of 216 lm, including the roadway, sidewalks and bicycle lanes.
The construction of the bridge and the arrangement of the junctions related to the bridge have contributed to the fluidisation of the traffic, decongestion of the junctions in the area, as well as realization of economic and recreational activities in the parks in the area.

Pedestrian and velo bridge over the Somes river in Satu Mare municipality
The works on this project consisted in the construction of a pedestrian and velo bridge in tied-arch system, carrigeway at the bottom and 2 side spans.
The aim of the project was to create a coherent network of bicycle lanes and to modernise the pedestrian routes, in order to sustainably transfer part of the modal share from private to public transport.

Bridge construction over Jiu de la Meri and DN66 rehabilitation km 106+220 - km 106+965
The works on this project consisted in the construction of a new monolith arch bridge, carrigeway at the top, the first one built in Romania in the past 30 years, as well as the execution of retrofitt works for the road sector DN66 in the area of Lainici Monastery.
By optimizing the initial solution numerous benefits were brought to the project, including fitting into the specific style of the area, the decrease of the carbon footprint and the increase of the durability of the works because the materials used have a durability of over 100 years.

Virtutii - Nod Ciurel bridge is a complex infrastructure construction, which consists of a cable-stayed bridge over the Dambovita river, 2 overpasses over the Virtutii road and a ground level bridge over the Dambovita River and 9 road connections.

Innovative solution green light tramway lane project Dacia Bridge - Magheru Boulevard, Oradea
The works on this project consisted in construction of an underpass bridge under Bd. Magheru, 2 access ramps, rehabilitation works at Dacia bridge, tramway and road works.
The scope of this project was to improve the traffic flow in the area by creating a third lane on the bridge, solving the traffic problems on Bd. Magheru and prioritizing the public transport by creating a green light lane for the tram.

Bridge construction over Crisul Repede between Plevnei street and Szigligeti Ede street
The works on this project consisted in two stages: the demolition of the old bridge and the construction of a new arch bridge with a mixed steel-concrete deck supported by tie rods and 2 roundabouts.

Overpass over Oradea's ring road, in Nojoridului street area
The works on this project consisted in the construction of an overpass over Oradea bypass, with a single span of 33 lm, ramps for the overpass and connection roads with the ring road and the adjacent streets.
In order to improve the traffic flow, the junctions between the connection roads and the adjacent streets were made through roundabout and the connection with the ring road was made through acceleration and deceleration lanes.

Road bridge over Oituz at Poiana Sarata on DN11, km 90+450
The works on this project consisted in the demolition of the existing bridge and the construction of a new bridge with a single span of 22.4 lm and a total length of 38.87 lm.
